If you're a woman who opposes mandatory ultrasounds, Republican Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett has a suggestion for you: "You just have to close your eyes."

"Close your eyes?" Does Governor Corbett have no shame?

Instead of focusing on jobs, Republican governors are focusing on passing new restrictions on women's personal health care choices. We have to stop this attack on women's rights now, before it spreads to any other states.

Add your name to our petition calling on Governor Corbett to immediately apologize for his insensitive comments and retract his support for this terrible bill that would roll back access to women's health care.

Unfortunately, Pennsylvania isn't the only Republican-controlled state trying to take away women's rights. Eleven other states have similar legislation pending, according to The Washington Post.

Republican governors should have learned their lesson from the backlash against their anti-worker overreach in Ohio and Wisconsin. They should have learned that voters want them to stop the right-wing sideshows and start looking for ways to create jobs and expand opportunities for the people of their states. They should have learned, but instead they decided to open up a new front in the culture war that should have been settled long ago.

Take Virginia for instance. Just last month, Governor Bob McDonnell backed a law that would force women seeking an abortion to undergo an outrageous invasive ultrasound procedure. McDonnell backtracked after a national outcry, but that still didn't stop him from signing an almost-equally repugnant bill.

There's nothing more powerful you can do than speak out against these shameless attacks on women's rights whenever they happen.

Sign our petition to Governor Corbett right now and we'll deliver it to his desk so he knows exactly what you think.
