Deaths from cancer in America = 5.61 million.
Money spent on Cancer research in America = $50 million ($50,000,000,000).
Or another way to look at it $8 thousand 912 dollars and 66 cents was spent for every one of the 5 million 610 thousand (5.61 million) cancer deaths in America for the last 10 years.
Deaths from terrorist attacks in America = 2,977. Money spent on wars in Afghanistan and Iraq = $1.26 Trillion. Or another way to look at it $42 million, 344 thousand, 877 dollars and 39 cents spent for every one of the 2 thousand 9 hundred and 77 terrorist attack deaths in America over the last 10 years.
In other words more money was spent for two terrorists attack victims in the last 10 years than spent on all 5.61 million cancer victims in the last 10 years by almost a 2 to 1 margin.
So it begs the question: If we have money for an unnecessary and illegal war against people who did not attack us (read Iraq) then why do we not have enough money for research to erradicate the deadly scourge called cancer? I'm just saying!
